DodgeCharger2015...BootNR.bin
That message means the tool needs an existing HPT file open as a base before it can import your BIN — it uses the HPT's segment structure and table definitions as a template, since a raw BIN doesn't carry that metadata on its own.
The correct order is:
Open a base HPT file for the same platform first (GPEC2A / Pentastar 3.6) — File > Open HPT
Once that file is loaded, go back to Convert > BIN to HPT
Point it at your BIN and it will overlay the calibration data from the BIN into the open HPT structure
If you don't have a base HPT for this platform, check the resource thread Bin linked earlier — there's usually a stock/base HPT included with the package, or posted in that thread. Do you have one available, or is that what's missing?
That's the most common sticking point with this workflow — the package doesn't always ship with base HPTs for every platform.
A few places to look:
Check the resource thread Bin linked earlier in this thread. Sometimes base/stock HPTs for common platforms are posted there as attachments or in the replies.
Search the forum for GPEC2A stock HPT or GPEC2A base tune — there are usually a few threads where members have shared them for the Pentastar 3.6.
If you can't find one, post a request in the appropriate subforum with your exact vehicle details (2015 Dodge Charger 3.6 GPEC2A) and someone will likely have one to share.
If you do find a base HPT from another source, just make sure it matches your OS version before using it as a template — mixing OS versions can cause table mismatches after the BIN overlay. Once you have the right base HPT open, the conversion should go through cleanly.
